Children’s curiosity to know about their surrounding is unlimited. They want to know what is happening around them? Why? and How? BASSE founded and run by Mr. Abhay Yawalkar, is a real science center that is interesting, inviting, and offers children opportunities to explore, discover and use their senses through activity-based fun way learning, Realizing children’s liking for experimentation and with faith in today’s research, BASSE believes activity-based learning has many advantages over conservative learning. Through Activity-based learning BASSE provides children learning experiences where they are encouraged to question, reason, analyze, explore and solve mysteries of the universe. At BASSE all the experiments are about encouraging natural curiosity and investigating wonders of science while you play. BASSE aims towards getting students more actively involved in seeking knowledge rather than accepting everything passively. We offer active learning science education through enjoyable hands-on experiments and projects that lead to the opening of creativity and cognitive reasoning skills. Children learn science concepts doing hands-on activities and this conceptual knowledge builds a strong foundation for their academic career.
Every single child is special and talented and is just looking for a chance to excel. At BASSE we know children learn best when learning activity matches their learning style. We have adopted no. of learning activities to cater to all learning styles.

The most important thing for a promising and successful career is to find the right guidance and support at right time. BASSE has been a beacon light for many underprivileged children. Through a well-planned and comprehensive program of BASSE, several underprivileged children are able to realize their hopes, dreams, and ambitions. Providing training required for manufacturing solar equipment’s Mr. Abhay Yawalkar has provided employable skills to several needy adults. We believe in giving back. Working on solar energy system we promote the use of solar energy and in turn initiating our attempts towards paying back to the environment. At BASSE we make students realize the significance of solar energy and teach them to take a few steps towards saving energy by optimum utilization of natural resources. We believe a strong nation requires a strong foundation.

‘Be a voice, not an echo’ with this motto, Mr. Abhay Yawalkar, founder of BASSE has made a significant contribution to humanity at large through his contribution as a science educator as well as a solar energy expert. With his wide academic and professional experience of 29 years; he has brought changes in the lives of many underprivileged people by training hundreds of people and students in the field of solar energy.
Mr. Abhay Yawalkar is never afraid of pushing the boundaries and trying new things and this attitude has added a wide range of experiences in his profile as a science educator across the country.
He has worked with various esteemed institutions and companies like Marathi Vidnyan Parishad, Balbharti, Bombay Municipal Corporation, Children of the World, Government Educational Institutes, Tat Group, Godrej, L& T, JSW, etc.
Mr. Abhay Yavalkar is a freelance writer. His articles are based on several environmental issues, solar energy, science education, and astronomy. All articles have been published in various newspapers and magazines.
Mr.Abhay Yawalkar is the recipient of many prestigious awards like Nirman Krutnyata purshkar, Aadarsh Dombivlikar purshkar, etc. His sustained efforts of extending science and technology to the lowest streta of society have been a source of inspiration for future generations.
